About me

A bit more context about my background and how I like to work.

I'm Sean Kendall—a Senior UX Designer and UX Engineer driving cross-organizational impact through systems that scale across 50+ product teams, with measurable improvements to operational efficiency and builder velocity. I focus on building shared foundations that help teams move faster without sacrificing clarity, quality, or cohesion.

My work often centers on design systems, common experience standards, and internal tools—especially in high-constraint environments where workflow, interaction patterns, accessibility, and information hierarchy matter more than visual flash. I care deeply about builder experience and reducing friction between design intent and delivery.

Boring stuff aside; I'm a Father, animal lover, sneakerhead and music man—champion of good company, nomad of wandering minds.

How I like to work

A few principles that show up across most of my projects.

  • Systems, not one-offs.I prefer patterns, primitives, and flows that scale across teams and products—not bespoke solutions for a single surface.
  • Grounded in reality.I stay close to customers, partners, and operators so the work reflects how things actually run—constraints included.
  • Clear over clever.I favor straightforward interactions and decision points that are easy to learn, debug, and extend over time.
  • Collaborative by default.I frame problems early with Design, Product, Engineering, and Operations so trade-offs are explicit and surprises are rare.
